When our kids were growing up, we went camping quite often: Tent, sleeping bags, dutch ovens (on a campfire), coleman lanterns, coolers, the whole bit. It's the poor man's vacation, and we liked it! We then graduated to a hand-me-down camper trailer from Roy's folks. Last year, after camping with all the kids at Palisades, we decided it was probably the last trip for the poor trailer. It had served us well, but it was time to be put to rest and out of it's misery. So a few weeks ago, Jane and Robert called and said, "When's the campout?" I didn't think we were going to do it at all this year, but we said, "If you plan it, we will come." So they did....and we did. Roy and I dug out the old tent (who knows why the heck we still had it), bought a new air mattress, and away we went! We met at Buttermilk Campground on the Island Park reservoir to spend 3 days and 2 nights. We had all the kids and grandkids there. Seth brought his girlfriend, Ann Marie, and 3 of her kids. Some of the Smuins came up on Saturday to spend the day. What a great time!
Chad and Taun brought their boat and tubes. Roy brought his fishing boat, too, but they just weren't biting.
The kids loved playing on the beach. This is Ryann and Boston.
Sydney, Danielle, and Indee painting rocks.
Robert had T-shirts made that said "Ro's My Homeboy"
"Camping wears me out!" (Sicilee and Tyler)

Good Memories were made. Thank you Jane for ramrodding it!
I know you love camping mom...the grandkids are lucky they have you to go to bat for them.
Way to go again, Myrna. It looks so fun and you are the best for the great sport that you are. Those kids will remember that stuff forever!
