I love a lot of things about the 4th of July. I love the flags, the soldiers, the parades, the fireworks, the good times with good people. This year we celebrated on the 3rd and on the 4th. On Friday, it turned into a mini reunion when Max announced that he, Claire and the girls would be coming to Idaho, and stopping off here in Bancroft. A few phone calls and text messages later, there was a party planned. Gary, Angie, and 2 girls came with their boat. Di and Russ flew over from Boise. Karen, John, Trevor, Alesha, Haily, Josh, and kids came, too. We had a great day at Alexander reservior on the water and at the reserved dock and picnic area there.
And, little brother Gary, is still "all that" with his wakeboarding skills, including a dazzling 360. (Doesn't he know how old he is?) This picture is a few years ago, but he's still doing the same things. She was the only one I got a picture of on the rope swing. Everyone else did good, too. However, David, Macy's husband, hit the water hard on the side of his face and later ended up in the emergency room with a broken eardrum. It seems like there's always got to be a casualty of some sort.
Val, Megan, and Jack went for a ride on the tube, too.
Everyone headed for home around 6:00 when the lightning, thunder, and HAIL started!

The next day, after going to the parade in Soda, we geared up for more company. We had the day planned with Roy's sister, Sandi, and some of her kids. They came last year on the 4th and had such a good time, we did it again. Val took them soapboxing down the old fish creek hill, then swimming and "fluming" over by Grace. Last year there were some injuries after tubing down the river in Lava. So this year I was hoping there would be no more blood. No such luck...
Tia took a fall on a grated crosswalk over a bridge and "grated" up her leg pretty bad. Another casualty...dang it!

You guys know how to party! fun times
No wonder the Skidmores are such fun. You really do know how to have a good time, even if a little blood is involved. Heck, I don't even know what soapboxing is.
Glad to not see a picture of me "eating that water". That was soooo much fun.
Fish, did I hear fish---eating fish, and I missed out! We missed you up our way!
What fun your group has!! Roy looks so happy as "chief chef!" You're a great hostess, Myrna!!
