What a Week!

Every summer since we moved here, Lataun has been bringing her kids down here to Lava Hot Springs to take a week's worth of swimming lessons with the Simmons kids. It has been a fun time for us to catch up, do projects, and just enjoy time together. This year, both Jane and Avery jumped on the band wagon and enrolled their oldest for lessons, too. My house was rocking for a week with 9 out of 10 grandkids here, along with their moms. It was a ball! We did a lot of kid things, tied a quilt, had a birthday party (for me), and tried not to be too bummed out about the crappy weather. Sure glad we built a big house!

Little Silas posed with the 4 swimmers, Ryann, Haddi, Indee, and River on the last day of swimming lessons. Don't let the sunny day fool you....it was freezing!

Haddi's teacher said she had "perfect diving form."

Avery made "Eggs Benedict" for us one morning. Yummy!

Mia was too quiet one day. She found someone's make-up bag.

Val wrote a song for my birthday. He and some of the kids sang it for me. It touched my heart.

Sounds like you guys had a great time. The kids will remember it always. Good on you Grandma Myrna and Happy Birthday!

Thanks mom for the great week! We all loved hanging out and your house is always so warm and welcoming. It's easy to be there (at least for us).
